First Semester Reflection

In the first semester I learned a lot that I didn’t know and I think that I blossomed as a student in Language arts. For example: AWUBIS’s, Smiley Face Tricks, and ways to write paragraphs effectively. There were also other things that I already knew but it was a good review like sentence types, word types, and certain types of poems and writings. I’m sure that looking into the next semester we will also learn a lot of helpful lessons.

I think to be a successful student you have to listen in class so you know the material and the do your work to your fullest ability even if you don’t want to spend a lot of time on it. If there is an assignment that is assigned ahead of time and you get a while to work on it, get it done in the beginning so you don’t have to worry and do it last minute. Also, if there is a test I need to study for it a bit each day and not cram at the end. By doing these things I know that I can keep my grades up!

In the first semester I learned that I can do anything I have to as long as I put my mind to it. And I hope that this lesson will carry on to the next semester for me too. I also think that I should contribute more in class because it might help me open up more. I think that if I focus in class and really listen to the material we learn the second semester can be even better then the first one! The one really simple thing I learned is that I just need to do the work!
